About Our Salon

 Romaines Hair Images (RHI) first opened its doors in 1990 to introduce “African hair braiding” at it’s finest. The prestige of our immaculate braiding artistry drew clients from all over the mid-west and beyond, becoming the first “official” African Hair braiding salon in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

We took heavy pride in our braiding then, and we take pride in the array services we provide now. RHI is an upscale salon considered to be “the best” in practicing   excellent customer service, along with providing beautiful hair designs with the careful nurturing of our clients own hair .
At Romaines, improving and sustaining the health of your hair is our first priority. We do our best to satisfy, and go above and beyond the needs and expectations of our clients. 

Although we are advanced in all areas of hair care…We pay close attention to hair replacement and hair extension, being able to provide customers with seamless extension techniques. About Our Founder

Maureen, Salon Owner, Manager, and Master Hair Extensionist is a Licensed Cosmetologist with over 35 years of experience in the hair braiding and hair extension industry. She has traveled the world, all for the sake of furthering her education, learning from, and working with the industry's top professionals in the beauty business.“…we are always excited about learning, creating and perfecting new methods and techniques to bring more to our wonderful industry…” 

Highly skilled, certified, and educated in all forms of braiding and extension hair artistry, Maureen offers the professionals in our industry the chance to move up to the next level through teaching basic and advanced hair addition classes.
